Is it because you have to take some exams?
What do you think is the most effective way to prepare for an English
exam?
Do you think memorising long lists of new words and doing tons of exam
questions really improve your English?
Do you think exam results can really measure one's language abilities?
If no, what do you think are the things that are difficult or
impossible to be tested in an exam?
Is it because you want to go abroad to study?
What different things do you think you can learn in an overseas
university/school that can benefit you?
Do you think English is really THAT important for your study abroad?
Or do you learn English just to meet the entry requirements?
What will you do after you finish your study abroad? Is "study" just a
cover for your real intention? (see the next question.)
Is it because you desparately want to settle in another country?
Why do you want to settle in another country? (Why not stay in your
homeland?)
Do you think your life can definitely be a lot better in another
country? If yes, what makes you so sure?
What is your view on those people who would do anything to go to
another country? Do you think such enthusiasm can be justified?
Is it because you want to learn more about the western world, its cultures,

How do you think mastery of the English language can better your
